Hello, reader! Welcome to our lovely blog Handmade Learning Here. We are very happy to have you here with us. Today I want to bring you an incredible pattern that is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!! You can make amazing pieces using the adorable Crocodile Flower square pattern.
The Crocodile Flower square presents an enthralling crochet pattern, seamlessly blending the distinctive texture of the Crocodile Stitch with the delicate allure of a flower. This inventive design provides crocheters with a special chance to incorporate the enchanting essence of a blossoming dahlia into their projects, elevating the classic Crocodile Stitch to unprecedented levels of beauty and creativity.
The crocodile stitch, known for its distinctive scale-like texture, has sparked a recent craze in crochet circles, with enthusiasts eager to incorporate it into a variety of patterns. An interesting version involves integrating this textured stitch into floral afghan blocks.
Typically done in rows, Crocodile Stitch has now ventured into the realm of flowers, offering crochet aficionados a new and intriguing motif to delve into. Within this pattern, we will guide you in making the Croco-Flower, a square Afghan block worked in the round, reminiscent of the vibrant petals of a beautiful flower.

SPECIAL STITCHES
Banded Doubles:
First, skip one stitch.
Then, double crochet (dc) in each of the next two stitches.
After that, half double crochet (hdc) around the two double crochets you just made.
To do this, yarn over, insert the hook into the space between the two double crochets, yarn over again, and pull the loop through while keeping it loose.
Finally, yarn over and pull through all three loops on the hook.
Special Term – “In side of”:
This means placing a stitch in the side of a stitch you’ve already made.
Insert your hook under both the front horizontal loop and the front vertical loop of the indicated stitch.
Then, complete the stitch as you normally would.
GAUGE
Measuring gauge can be a bit tricky, but here’s a simple goal: try to make the first two rows form a circle about 2 inches wide. Each crocodile scale should be around 1 inch tall, and when you’re finished, the whole square should be about 6 inches on each side. This works well if you’re using Caron Simply Soft worsted weight yarn and a size G hook.
Crocodile Flower Square Color Palette:
Primary Color: Brown or black (to depict the center of the flower)
Secondary Color: Any hue resembling a flower (for the petals)
Accent Color: Green or any preferred background shade
