SMALL CROCHET GRANNY HEART PATTERN
Round 1: Creating a Base Ring for your crochet granny heart
Start by making a sliding ring and chaining 4. The first chain secures the loop, and the remaining 3 chains count as the first stitch. Alternatively, you can chain 4 and slip stitch to make a ring.
Within the ring, do a double crochet (dc) and chain 3. Repeat the sequence [3 double crochets, chain 3] a total of 3 times. Close the loop, making sure not to pull it too tightly to leave room for one more double crochet.
Now, do a double crochet in the ring, and slip stitch through 2 loops of the top chain of the beginning chain-4. Do not finish off; you’ll continue with the next steps.
Round 2:
Make 7 double crochets (dc) in the same spot as the slip stitch (slpst).
Skip the next stitch, and slip stitch (slpst) in the chain-3 space.
Skip the next double crochet (dc), then make 8 double crochets (dc) in the following double crochet.
Single crochet (sc) in the next chain-3 space and in the next 3 double crochets (dc).
Make 3 single crochets (sc) in the chain-3 space.
Single crochet (sc) in the next 3 stitches and in the last chain-3 space.
Slip stitch (slpst) through 2 loops of the chain-3.
Finish off, leaving a tail for weaving in or sewing.
