Materials You’ll Need

You’ll just need a few small balls of Paintbox Yarns Simply DK in your favorite shades. The original pattern uses a rainbow of sweet, garden-like colors — from Champagne White and Buttercup Yellow to Raspberry Pink and Sailor Blue. But the fun part? You can mix and match however your heart desires!

Grab your 3.5 mm crochet hook (US size E/4) and about 450 cm (177 inches) of string to thread your flowers once they’re ready.

Crochet Flowers in Bloom

This garland is made up of nine different flower designs, each with its own size and style. Don’t worry, dear,  they’re all small and beginner-friendly! Each flower begins with a little ring of chains and grows with lovely petals made from double crochets and treble stitches.

If you’re new to crochet, take it slow… one petal at a time. You’ll be amazed at how quickly they come together. And remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect; every flower has its own charm, just like in a real garden.

Once you’ve finished your blossoms, thread them gently onto your string in any order you like. Try alternating colors or arranging them from smallest to largest for a sweet, natural look.

So put on your favorite tea, find a cozy chair, and let your hook dance among the colors.
